- Default bow type

Archery Score Data
The app allows you to record:
- Competition scores
- Round 1 and Round 2 scores
- Practice session scores
- Practice end scores
- Distance
- Bow type
- Notes
- Dates of shoots
- Progress statistics
This data is used to display your score history, progress, averages, personal bests, and related insights.
Authentication Information
If you choose to enable cloud sync or sign in with a third-party provider, Archer’s Journal may use authentication services such as Firebase Authentication, Google Sign-In, and Facebook Login if enabled in the app.
Authentication providers may process information such as your user ID, email address, display name, or profile identifier, depending on the sign-in method you choose.
Cloud Sync Information
If cloud sync is enabled, your score data and app profile data may be stored securely using Firebase services so your information can be synced across your devices.
If you do not enable cloud sync, your data remains stored locally on your device.

We use your information to:
- Save and display your archery scores
- Track your progress over time
- Calculate totals, averages, and personal bests
- Manage your archer profile and preferences
- Provide optional cloud sync across devices
- Restore your data when using a supported sign-in method

We do not sell your personal information.
3. Local Storage
Archer’s Journal is designed as a local-first app. This means that your scores and settings may be stored directly on your device.
Local data remains on your device unless you choose to enable cloud sync, export your data, or share it yourself.
If you delete the app, locally stored data may also be deleted unless it has been backed up or synced.
4. Cloud Storage and Sync
If you enable cloud sync, your data may be stored using Firebase services.
Cloud sync may include:
- Archer profile data
- Competition scores
- Practice sessions
- App settings
- Sync identifiers
Cloud sync is used only to make your data available across your own devices and to help prevent data loss.
Firebase and related Google services may process data according to Google’s own privacy practices.
5. Third-Party Services
Archer’s Journal may use third-party services to provide app functionality. These may include:
- Firebase Authentication
- Cloud Firestore
- Google Sign-In
- Facebook Login
- Apple platform services
- Google Play services
These services may collect information required to provide authentication, cloud storage, security, analytics, crash reporting, or platform functionality.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your data.
We may share limited information only when necessary to:
- Provide app functionality
- Enable cloud sync

- Protect the app, users, or developer from misuse or security issues
Your data may be processed by service providers such as Firebase or sign-in providers only as needed to provide the app’s functionality.

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. Where cloud sync is used, data should be protected using access controls and authentication rules so that only the authenticated user or paired devices can access the relevant data.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Data Retention
Locally stored data remains on your device until you delete it, reset the app, or uninstall the app.
Cloud-synced data may remain stored until you delete it, request deletion, or close/remove your synced profile where supported.
We retain information only for as long as necessary to provide the app’s functionality, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements.
9. Your Choices and Rights
You may be able to:
- View your scores in the app
- Edit or delete competition scores
- Edit or delete practice sessions
- Change your profile information
- Disable or avoid cloud sync
- Export your data, if the feature is available
- Request deletion of cloud-stored data

10. Children’s Privacy
Archer’s Journal is intended for general archery score tracking and is not specifically directed at children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information without proper consent, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
11. Analytics and Advertising
Archer’s Journal does not currently sell user data.
If analytics, crash reporting, or advertising features are added in future versions, this Privacy Policy will be updated to explain what data is collected and how it is used.
If advertising or tracking is introduced, the app will request permissions where required by platform rules and applicable law.
12. International Data Processing
If cloud services are enabled, your information may be processed or stored on servers outside your country of residence.
By using cloud sync or third-party sign-in services, you understand that your information may be processed in locations where those service providers operate.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Effective Date” at the top of this page.
